Dry Time Keeps Going Up - Dryer

Possible Solution

Was an automatic cycle selected?

During Automatic Cycles, drying air temperature and moisture level are sensed continuously in the load. In Automatic cycles, time may adjust either Up or Down depending on load size, material types, and drying rate. The dryer will automatically adjust the remaining time based on the selected dryness. The dryer shuts off when the load reaches the selected dryness.

  • Use the NORMAL dryness level to provide optimal energy savings.

Were clothes added after the cycle started?

If wet or damp clothes were added after the cycle had started, the dryer will automatically adjust the remaining time based on the new moisture levels found in the dryer.
