What to Do if Water Filter is Damaged or Leaking

What to Do if the Maytag Water Filter is Damaged or Dripping?

If you are concerned the water filter may be damaged, there are a few steps you can take to ensure it is functioning correctly.

Check for Damage

  1. Remove the filter and inspect it for cracks or damage
  2. If the filter is cracked or damaged, replace the filter with a new one

Check Installation

If it’s not damaged, the water filter may need reinstalled to function correctly.

  1. Check and see if the O-Rings are correctly installed on the water filter. If the O-rings are damaged or missing, replace the filter.
  2. Ensure the water filter is properly installed.  It could drip if the water filter is not seated or installed correctly.

Ensure the water filter is properly installed and sealed with O-ring.
