What to Do if the Maytag Water Filter is Damaged or Dripping?
If you are concerned the water filter may be damaged, there are a few steps you can take to ensure it is functioning correctly.
Check for Damage
- Remove the filter and inspect it for cracks or damage
- If the filter is cracked or damaged, replace the filter with a new one
Check Installation
If it’s not damaged, the water filter may need to be reinstalled in order to function correctly.
- Check and see if the O-Rings are correctly installed on the water filter. If the O-rings are damaged or missing replace the filter.
- Ensure the water filter is properly installed. If the water filter is not seated or installed correctly it could drip.
