Is the room humid?
A minimal amount of condensation is normal, especially during higher humidity. If you live in a humid area, it is normal for your freezer to have some humidity on the lid.
Humid room air can cause moisture to build, especially when the lid is opened frequently. Avoid excess moisture buildup by minimizing lid openings. Get all items out at one time, keep food organized, and close the lid as soon as possible.
Improper sealing of the freezer lid gaskets can also cause humidity to form. Check the seal around the exterior lid and the freezer lid to ensure nothing is obstructing the gasket seal.
