Not Rinsing Well

Possible Solutions

Were you washing a large load?

To rinse well, the load items need to move freely in the washer. You may need to reduce your load size. For best performance, load items in loose heaps evenly around the washplate.

Have you run a Clean Washer Cycle?

If you feel the clothes are not coming clean or the water level is lower than when you first started using this washer, try running a Clean Washer cycle. This cycle re-calibrates the control and resets it to the factory-set water levels. This cycle should be run approximately one time per month (using the Affresh® Washer cleaner), and this will re-calibrate the control every time the Clean Washer cycle is used. This will also ensure that your washer is free from build-up that can occur over time from detergent and fabric softener.

Are you using High Efficiency (HE) detergent?

The use of non-HE detergent can leave a film residue, which can prevent the detergent from rinsing completely from the clothing. Always use only HE detergent and the manufacturer's recommended amount. If you have very soft water, you may need to use less detergent and non-HE detergent or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount.

Did you increase wash time using the Soil Level button?

Soil Level (wash time) is preset for each wash cycle. As you touch the soil level pad, the cycle time (minutes) will increase or decrease in the estimated time remaining displayed, and a different wash time will appear. Select the most suitable setting for your load. Select Extra Heavy Soil Level for more wash time for heavily soiled items. For lightly soiled items, select Light Soil Level for less wash time.

Are you using the Fabric Softener Option?

Using the Fabric Softener option will allow more water into the rinse cycle. Whether you use liquid fabric softener or not, selecting this option will bring in more water and could improve your rinse results.
