Possible Solutions

Have you performed the "Clean Washer" cycle, or has the "Clean Washer" light come on?

Run the Clean Washer cycle every month to maintain washer freshness. Running the Clean Washer cycle once a month can help prevent odors from developing in your washer. The Clean Washer cycle uses higher water volumes in combination with affresh^® washer cleaner, liquid chlorine bleach, or another washing machine cleaning product to thoroughly clean the inside of the washer. NOTE: Do not use thickened, easy-pour, or no-splash bleach when running the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle, as it may cause excessive suds to develop during the cycle.

Cleans even where you can't see

Have you cleaned the dispenser drawer (on some models)?

The dispenser drawer should be removed and cleaned regularly per directions in your Owner's Manual.

Are you using High Efficiency (HE) detergent in your washer?

Use of non-HE detergent can cause residues to build up in your washing machine which can, in turn, result in the development of odor in your washing machine. Always use the detergent manufacture's recommended amount of detergent.
