How to Change the Language Displayed on a Whirlpool Dryer
If your dryer is displaying the incorrect language or you would like to change the language displayed on the console, complete the following steps:
Models W*D8120H*,W*D7120H*,W*D6120H*, YWED6120H*, YWED7120H*
- Press and hold the "Temp" and "Wrinkle Shield" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. A countdown will be displayed on the console. Once the countdown has been completed, the unit will have successfully reset.
- Select the preferred language from the console.
For Models WED5100H*, WGD5100H*, YWED5100H*
- Press and hold the "Temp" and "Wrinkle Shield" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. A countdown will be displayed on the console. Once the countdown has been completed, the unit will have successfully reset.
- Hold down the "blank" button (the last button on the right) immediately when you see the Whirlpool logo appear on the screen. Hold the button to toggle through the languages and let go when the desired language is displayed. Follow the directions on the screen to select. If you accidentally choose the wrong language while toggling, simply perform these steps again until the correct language has been chosen.
