Clothing Wet at End of Cycle - Dryer

Possible Solutions

Is the exhaust vent or outside exhaust hood clogged with lint and restricting air movement?

A clogged exhaust vent system slows moist air from leaving the dryer and extends drying time. Run the dryer for 5-10 minutes. Hold your hand under the outside exhaust hood to check the air movement. If the air movement is less than a hair dryer on high speed, clean the lint from the entire length of the system and the exhaust hood.

Is the Lint Screen clean?

The lint screen will be located in the door opening of the dryer. A screen blocked by lint can increase drying time. It is imperative to clean your lint screen after every use.

Is there an AF Error Code or Check Vent Light on?

A clogged exhaust vent system slows moist air from leaving the dryer and extends drying time. Run the dryer for 5-10 minutes. Hold your hand under the outside exhaust hood to check the air movement. If the air movement is less than a hair dryer on high speed, clean the lint from the entire length of the system and the exhaust hood.

What cycle was selected?

Cycle selection is important.  If the clothes don't reach the desired dryness level, try selecting a different cycle such as "More Dry"  or "Regular."

Quick Dry and Rapid Dry are timed cycles designed to dry smaller loads. If clothes are too wet after the cycle has completed, try running the Quick Dry or Rapid Dry cycle again. For best performance, use an automatic cycle.

Is the dryer level?

If the dryer is not level, clothes may not be contacting the moisture sensors during Automatic cycles. See your Owner's Manual for leveling instructions.

Have you tried changing your Factory Dryness Level?

You can make adjustments to your Automatic Cycles by adjusting the Factory Dryness Level:

If all your loads on all Automatic Cycles are consistently less dry or drier than you would like, you may change the default settings to increase or decrease the default dryness level.

Is static reduce optimized (on some models)?

Static reduce is optimized for large normal or heavy loads. You may experience wet spots if the load is run on a delicate, low heat cycle or is only a few items. The dryer will automatically tumble, pause, and introduce a small amount of moisture into the load to help reduce static. This option adds approximately 3-8 minutes to the total cycle time.
