How to Adjust the Middle Dishwasher Rack

Removable Racks: To make space for tall items, your upper racks are removable. The manner in which to remove will depend on your specific model. Remove dishes prior to removing any racks.
Adjustable Racks: The middle/top rack (if you have a 3rd rack) can be moved up and down to accommodate taller items. Remove all dishes from the rack and push down on the buttons located on the outside of the rack, which will raise or lower the rack.

NOTE: Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific instructions for your model.

Adjusting the Rack Height

Adjusters are located on each side of the middle rack. To raise the rack: Press both rack adjuster thumb levers and lift the rack until it is in the up position and level. To lower the rack: Press both rack adjuster thumb levers and slide the rack to its down position and level. NOTE: The middle rack must be level. Remove dishes before adjusting the rack.

Is the rack installed correctly?

If you just received your new dishwasher or if you recently removed the rack, check to see if the wheels are engaged in the rail and the rack stopper is in the closed position. If the stopper is in the "Open" position, the rack can pull out from the rail on that side. Push the stopper back to the closed position; you will feel a click once closed.
