Control Knobs or Control Panel - Range
Possible Solutions
IMPORTANT: Ensure all controls are off and the cooktop is cool before cleaning. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products.
Cleaning the Control Knobs
To avoid damage to the cooktop controls, do not use steel wool, abrasive cleansers, or oven cleaner, and don't soak the knobs.
- Remove the knobs by pulling them straight away from the control panel.
- Clean with soap, water, and a soft cloth or sponge unless otherwise noted.
When replacing knobs, make sure knobs are in the Off position. On some models, do not remove seals under knobs.
Cleaning the Control Panel
IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging the finish, do not use soap-filled scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads, gritty washcloths, or abrasive paper towels.
- Preferred Method: Soap, water, and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested first unless otherwise noted.
- Other Methods: Use glass cleaner, mild liquid detergent, all-purpose cleaner, or a nonabrasive scrubbing pad. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
