Display Not Working - Has Power - Countertop Microwave
Possible Solutions
Is the Control Lock set?
The Control Lock disables the control panel pads to prevent unintended microwave oven use. For more information, Review Setting the Control Lock on a Countertop Microwave.
Is the Timer in use?
The Timer does not start or stop the microwave oven. The function can be set only in Standby mode.
To SET the timer:
- Press the Timer/Clock button.
- Press the “+/-” button to enter the desired time.
- Press the Start button. When the set time ends, the end-of-timer.
- When the Timer countdown is achieved in the display, the tone will sound. Press Stop/Unlock to stop the timer.
To CANCEL the Timer:
- Touch CANCEL while the Timer is active in the display (the time icon is flashing) to cancel the Timer.
Is the door fully closed?
Ensure the door latch is not blocked and the door is fully closed. Below are some common items that may prevent the microwave from closing or opening:
- Packing and/or shipping material.
- Dish or bakeware. Ensure the dish is the correct size for the microwave; an oversized plate will prevent the door from closing.
- Check that the cooking rack (if equipped) is not out of position and that the door is not allowing it to close.
