How to Get My Maytag Connected Appliance to Beacon 

  1. Find the SAID label on the appliance
  2. If the first number in the SAID is a 3 - Press and hold "Connect" key for 15 seconds (this will delete any network settings and the appliance will begin to beacon its MAC address shortly afterwords.)
  3. If the first number in the SAID is a 4 - Press "Connect" key once - this will place the appliance into a beacon mode. If the appliance does not start to beacon it’s MAC address, then it may need to have it’s existing network configuration deleted. Press and hold "Connect" key for 15 seconds to clear the previous network settings, wait 15 seconds, then press the connect key once to get the appliance to beacon.
